Float is looking for a hightrust highleverage Chief of Staff to partner directly with our CEO Rob Khazzam and broader Leadership Team. As Chief of Staff you will be embedded in internal . This is a role for someone who excels at turning ambiguity into systems structure and forward momentum.
Youll serve as the connective tissue for our leadership team accelerating Floats progress by bringing clarity and velocity to our most important initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fastpaced highautonomy environments and knows how to create organizational leverageespecially alongside founders who move quickly and recognize the importance of bringing order to startup chaos.
Synthesize large amounts of data and context from across Float to inform leadership decisionmaking including new business bets or yettobeformed team structures.
Build strategic artifacts (memos decks org charts models roadmaps) that provide continuity and clarity to the leadership team board and the wider Float crossfunctional team.
Track key decisions and ensure followthrough providing the LT with tracking of key outcomes and actions.
Plan for the week month and quarter ahead anticipating key milestones and ensuring timely delivery of materials needed from Rob or other members of the Float team.
Manage the LTs speaking opportunities including communication with external organizations planning content and managing logistics.
Design and manage his week to focus on priorities: meetings prep focus.
Partner with Rob to identify priority meetings or workstreams requiring involvement with a focus on highimpact initiatives.
Take occasional meetings on his behalf synthesizing key points takeaways and input required.
Schedule coordinate and manage meeting attendee lists for meetings that Rob hosts.
Draft and prepare key communications from Rob including emails allhands presentations monthly business reviews etc.
Help Rob scale his leadership by structuring and standardizing meeting and reporting touchpoints from across Floats various business units and functional teams with consistent expectations.
Operating Rhythm: Run Floats leadership cadence offsites reviews planning and rituals in partnership with Floats Head of Finance Rob and broader LT.
Decision Clarity: Maintain active decision logs for CEO and Floats LT ensuring action items are tracked communicated and adhered to.
Strategic Synthesis: Turn raw inputs into clean narratives metrics frameworks and models.
CEO Calendar & Inbox: You will own Robs calendar ensuring its planned in advance to protect time for highimpact work and aligned with key company board and business milestones. Youll also ensure that agendas and prep materials are provided and reviewed in advance by Rob for key meetings. In addition youll manage Robs inbox ensuring timely communication with internal and external teams.
You are very organized. You put structure in place with ease are great at planning fastmoving and detailobsessed. Youre a natural planner and project manager who knows how to get crossfunctional teams aligned and moving. You turn scattered inputs into clear actions.
You have 715 years of experience in strategy operations management consulting chief of staff or similar roles in highgrowth environments.
Youve worked directly with senior leadership and understand what it takes to drive clarity and action at the executive level. You understand the complexity of the job strengths and weaknesses of those you support and actively tailor your approach.
You take initiative. You default to ownership and drive and dont wait for instructions.
Youre an outstanding communicator. You excel at synthesizing large amounts of data and context. You create clarity through written and oral communication. You are A at written memos decks and visual aid creation and enjoy spending time doing this work.
You thrive under pressure and love solving ambiguous problems.
You deeply understand how Floats business works across gotomarket product operations and finance and youre not afraid to dig in.
You bring strong judgment high trust and radical candor. People want you in the loop because you seek and speak the truth and you make things better.
Youre energized by highgrowth environments. Youre comfortable rolling with change juggling multiple priorities and figuring things out as you go.
Youre comfortable with tools like Powerpoint GSlides Metabase Looker SQL Excel and Gsheets and enjoy backing up strategic insight with data.
You operate with strong ownership accountability and agency. You take the initiative to get things done and always find a way to deliver. You dont say thats not my job and you dont let obstacles get in the way of delivering.
You get nervous giving and receiving exec feedback or closing loops yourself
