The Kingdom East School District seeks a .5 Middle School Humanities Teacher to serve at Millers Run School (PreK grade 8 providing Humanities instruction aligned to practices assessment and curricula adopted by the school/district. The Middle School Humanities Teacher will be part of a collaborative team utilizing best practice to provide integrated reading writing and social studies instruction within a collaborative multitiered system of supports (MTSS). Experience with the C3 Framework Project based learning and knowledge in developmentally appropriate best practice instruction for reading and writing are beneficial. The Middle School Humanities Teacher will work closely with an instructional team including KESD Instructional Coaches the Principal and the KESD Director of Innovation and Run School strives to offer a highly collaborative studentcentered learning environment which allows plenty of opportunity for outdoor and experiential education project based learning and a development of a sense of place. Experience with Responsive Classroom and PBIS is beneficial but not Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students.
