Solid Rock is working with a wellestablished and respected law practice in Chicago focusing on insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation. They are looking for an experienced and motivated Insurance Defense/Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their team. The right candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation and insurance coverage analysis. The person they are looking to hire for this role will take over the partners book when he retires in the next year or two.
Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation including case evaluation discovery motion practice depositions and trial preparation.
Analyze insurance policies and provide coverage opinions to clients.
Draft pleadings motions and legal memoranda.
Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in insurance law.
Represent clients in court proceedings mediations and arbitrations.
Communicate effectively with clients opposing counsel and court personnel.
Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to develop case strategies.
Juris Doctor (J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
At least 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation and/or insurance coverage analysis.
Strong litigation skills including trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
Excellent research writing and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with case management software and legal research tools is a plus.
