Job Description
Leidos National Security Sector Decision Advantage Business Area Office of Technology is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to drive innovative solutions addressing rapidly evolving threats and customer needs in the DoD and mission partner space capabilities arena. This role will focus on developing and integrating advanced systems in Battle Management Command Control and Communications (BMC3 cyber technology electronic warfare digital infrastructure mission planning (MP) and command and control (C2 systems with a strong emphasis on softwarebased solutions.
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting our engagements with the U.S. Air Force specifically focusing on collaboration with the Information Dominance Systems Center and AFLCMC/HB to shape the Air Forces contributions to Joint AllDomain Command and Control (JADC2a transformative warfighting concept that connects sensors and shooters globally.
The successful candidate will work across the Decision Advantage Business Area and partner with senior leaders throughout the Leidos enterprise (including National Security Defense Systems and Health & Civil sectors) to pursue win and execute missioncritical programs leveraging enterprisewide capabilities.
This is a hybrid position 75 telework and 25 onsite) with the following cities as preferred base locations: Reston VA Arlington VA Huntsville AL San Diego/La Jolla CA Denver/Aurora CO Dayton OH or Orlando FL. Selected candidate is also expected to travel approximately 25 of the time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops Battle Management Command Control and Communications (BMC3 and related mission solutions applicable across defense and mission partner initiatives to achieve Combined/Joint AllDomain C2 objectives. A key focus is on helping transition a broad strategic vision to an agile technology and partnershipbased plan and to prioritize and execute both internal and customer funded efforts for the near mid and longterm consistent with emerging space domain constructs. Emphasis is on integrating capabilities to address a range of emerging customer needs including an emphasis on classified missions.
- Participates in strategy development and updates with a focus on actions aligned to strategy implementation.
- Develops solutions that are highly innovative bringing together capabilities ranging from data integration to MP & C2 systems from midTRL capabilities to continuous delivery and operational sustainment and for national security applications leveraging capabilities across the commercial and traditional DoD industrial base and international partners.
- Works with technical staff and Business Development personnel to understand customer needs; leads development of solutions that impact strategic project/program goals and business results.
- Performs technical leadership on a combination of customer and internallyfunded programs and projects.
- Works to secure crossorganization buyin on solutions that move from current practices toward agreement/acceptance of new concepts practices and approaches.
Basic Qualifications :
- Masters degree with 15 years of prior relevant experience or Bachelors degree with 17 years of prior relevant experience.
- Proven ability in a recent technical leadership role to move a strategic vision into an agile action plan with demonstrated business impact and success in fulfilling customer objectives.
- Proven ability to develop and mature strategy aligned to customer corporate and related missions.
- Proven ability to form industry and international partnerships that collectively address challenging customer missions and address diverse business objectives amongst the team.
- Proven experience working with or supporting U.S. Air Force organizations or equivalent including AFLCMC/HB.
- A broad understanding of BMC3 systems JADC2 and related DoD concepts and frameworks current and emerging relevant systems and customer roles.
- Demonstrated experience on classified command and control systems and working with classified customers.
- Experience leading the development of innovative solutions in support of major capture and proposal efforts balancing these solutions against cost schedule function quality and other business considerations.
- Strong communication skills. Experience engaging in business development and capture efforts in the role of Solution Architect or analogous efforts.
- Experience in creation of white papers proposals and briefings demonstrating the thought leadership capabilities of the organization as well as supporting various marketing and business development efforts through customer interaction.
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one and eligibility for Special Access Programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML edge computing and advanced analytics.
- Direct experience supporting or collaborating with the JADC2 efforts ex. Joint Fires Network Overmatch.
- Recent experience with key customers / programs is highly preferred e.g. experience with AFLCMC/PEO digital PEO Mission Command.
- Recent experience in architecting and delivering solutions across multiple operational domains.
- Experience in support of and participation in transition of programs from capture/proposal to .
- Familiarity with secured data including multilevel classified data.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $148850.00 $269075.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
