Job Responsibilities
As a Computer Scientist 1 you will be responsible for:
- Crafting and implementing robust scalable software solutions
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to determine requirements and successfully implement new features
- Mentoring junior engineers and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
- Ensuring flawless integration of various backend services
- Participating in code reviews and maintaining high coding standards
- Applying proven development practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery to uphold a high level of software quality
- Working within Scrum or similar agile frameworks to deliver projects on time
Required Skills/Experience
- 57 years of software engineering experience
- Strong coding experience in solving complex problems involving data structures and algorithms
- Experience building large scale web applications integrating with various backend services
- Sound knowledge of OOP with Java preferably being the primary programming language
- Strong experience in Java JS Microservices
- Solid understanding of technologies like AWS Lambda SQS Dynamo DB/SQL AWS Cloud Infra Google Firebase etc.
- Prior experience in mentoring junior Engineers on the team
- Should have worked on projects that follow Scrum or similar agile development methodology
- Experience in Continuous Integration and/or Continuous Delivery is desired
- Experience in applications that use Amazon AWS or similar cloud hosting and CDN technologies like Akamai will be an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
