UPMC Central Pa is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join the Cardiothoracic ICU team at our main campus in Harrisburg Details:12 shifts/month block scheduling12hour shifts rotating day/nightDay time: Census of 610 patients on average in the CTICUNight time: Responsible for inhouse overnight coverage of CTICU/Postop Unit/ER No outpatient callsAdmissions and consultation of patients directed to the cardiac surgery serviceActively comanages critically ill postop patients including ventilator management initiation and management of vasoactive medications management of IABP/ECMO arrhythmias bleeding disorders and other cardiac disordersServes as a role model of professional practice by serving as a recognized leader in clinical expertise and evidencebased practiceDemonstrates highly developed clinical assessment and analytic toolsActively supports continuous learning in the clinical area by sharing research and materials from professional organizationsPresents in a clinical settingIdentifies opportunities for clinical quality and workplace teams to launch innovations in patient careIncorporates acceptable standards of practice as well as health system goals to improve patient safety quality and satisfaction of the patient experienceAbility to articulate and translate patients condition to care providersWillingness to make recommendations for changes in patient care and clinical with patients to formulate a plan for careSupport from a full range of specialistsSystemwide EPIC EMRProfessional Skills:Graduate of accredited CRNP program (must be certified in one of the following: ACNP ACNPCAG or AGACNP) or accredited PA programAbility to work autonomously and think criticallyThree years of experience working within an inpatient or critical care setting preferredAbility to establish and maintain positive relationships with executives and providersAdaptability and flexibility suited for working in a complex environment with multiple changing prioritiesAbility to work with specialized equipmentExperience in airway management central and arterial line cannulation and ultrasound preferredCurrent ACLS certificationCommitment to providing highquality compassionate patient careTeamoriented with ability to provide personalized patient care and demonstrate positive clinical outcomesBenefits:Competitive compensation packageCommencement BonusRelocationHealth life and disability insuranceMedical malpractice insuranceDefined contribution plan; 403(b) plan with employer matchProfessional dues and CME allowance
