Job Title: Heavy Machine Operator
Exempt/Nonexempt: NonExempt
Responsibilities:
- Operates Die Cast Machine.
- Separates parts from s through use of a trim die or hand break.
- Check and inspect parts by using a gage or visual and sign off on it at fixed intervals.
- Check machine if it stops and notify Mechanic or Foreperson of any issues.
- Maintain housekeeping in your work area.
- Cover a machine for another employee when on break.
- Be Safety conscious and wear all PPE required.
- May be asked to work in another department temporarily if needed
- Follow Supervisors and Forepersons instructions. Communicate with other employees.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to operate machines.
- On the job training.
- Must be able to understand all essential functions. In approximately one month candidate should have a good understanding of the job.
ENVIRONMENT:
100 within manufacturing facility. Conditions may be hot and noisy for extended periods.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stoop kneel and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
