Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee Oklahotel (Pty) Ltd. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.

JOB SUMMARY
The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Assists in leading all daytoday activities related to sales with a focus on building longterm valuebased customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. Achieves personal sales goals.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:
Reporting to the Sales Manager they will assist improving the teams productivity by contacting customers to arrange site inspections.
Engage with clients postquote to drive sales conversion and proactively invite clients for site inspections to support the sales process.
Handover complete and accurate booking details after booking conversion to Banqueting Manager for seamless service delivery.
Engage in postconference discussions documenting client feedback and followup actions to drive continuous improvement.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand the client base.
Review and interpret past performance data to uncover insights that drive business growth and improve future planning
Maintain uptodate client and sales information and other internal tools to support efficient sales operations (CAD Report Daily Report Morning Meeting Checklist Hoteligence Report)
Liaise with other departments to ensure client requirements are communicated and executed effectively.
Developing and maintaining online filing systems to maintain sales records prepare reports.
Support the sales team with administrative tasks and proposal preparations.
Support the coordination of site inspections client engagements and inhouse events.
Foster positive relationships with clients and internal departments monthly actions.
Participates in sales calls with sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
Understands the overall market competitors strengths and weaknesses economic trends supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
Supports the companys service and relationship strategy driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Team player with a collaborative attitude
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with sales systems (e.g. Mi Sales Companion Opera) preferred
Good analytical and problemsolving skills
