Animal Eye Medical & Surgical Specialists (AEMSS) is a longstanding general practice hospital with deep ties to the community located in beautiful Katy Texas. At AEMSS we understand the bond between clients and their pets. We have a boardcertified specialist and a staff that shares the goal of providing the most advanced and affordable eye care possible.
We are currently looking to hire an experienced veterinary technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable detailoriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used drawing blood and proper positioning experience with proper animal handling and restraint understanding the importance of client education and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements:
- Must be wellspoken.
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to stand stoop or bend for long periods.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
- Must be able to communicate with clients doctors and staff.
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Must maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Must be able to perform venipuncture.
- Must be familiar with specimen collecting for lab submission.
- Must be able to handle and restrain animals.
- Must have experience in anesthetic induction maintenance and monitoring.
- Must have at least 2 years of veterinary technician experience
- Must be able to place IV catheters efficiently.
- Must be familiar with veterinary terminology and anatomy.
- Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs unassisted.
- Must be able to maintain accurate medical records both written and electronic
