Job Title:Payroll and General Fixed Asset Specialist
FLSA: NonExempt Hourly Position 12 months
The Payroll & General Fixed Asset Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll for all district employees and maintaining the districts general fixed asset inventory in compliance with Arizona state regulations and district policies. This position ensures timely accurate payroll and supports internal financial accountability through asset tracking and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer and Director of HR
Maintain and monitor general fixed asset records including acquisitions disposals transfers and tagging of equipment.
Ensure compliance with Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR) and state regulations related to capital assets.
Conduct and support annual physical inventories at all sites.
Reconcile asset records with general ledger accounts and submit necessary updates to the finance department.
Coordinate with departments and schools for surplus lost or stolen property documentation.
Assist auditors with assetrelated documentation during annual financial audits.
Process biweekly payrolls for all employee groups in a timely and accurate manner.
Review employee time records leave balances and deductions for accuracy and compliance.
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal payroll laws and district policies.
