The Position
We are seeking a detailoriented Junior Quality Assurance Test Analyst with a strong focus on test script creation and regression testing to join our technology team. In this role you will be responsible for creating executing and maintaining test cases to ensure the stability and reliability of our software applications and mission critical systems. You will work closely with developers project managers and analysts to identify and resolve issues before deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design execute and maintain manual regression test cases to validate software functionality after new development updates and bug fixes.
- Identify document and track defects using a test management tool.
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Perform functional UI and integration testing as part of regression cycles.
- Ensure test environments and datasets are set up properly for regression testing.
- Participate in test planning requirement analysis and sprint meetings.
- Provide detailed reports on test defects and software quality metrics.
- Support root cause analysis of defects to improve overall product stability.
- Continuously improve testing processes documentation and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 13 years of experience in manual QA testing with a focus on regression testing.
- Experience testing applications within the Django/Python web framework.
- Experience with at least one Pythonbased automated web testing framework (Selenium Playwright).
- Experience with Case Management solutions.
- Frontend and backend testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and QA methodologies.
- Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira TestRail).
- Ability to create clear and concise test cases test plans and defect reports.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of SQL for validating test data.
- Experience with API testing and tools.
