Job Description
If you are a keen professional eager to take on our challenge we encourage you to join our team! We are looking for a Category Manager who will work closely with the Global Sourcing Manager.
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Europe you will be responsible for direct materials assigned categories of Actuation Technologies Business Unit in Europe to develop and deploy company strategies to deliver outstanding Supply Chain performances. We desire to get in touch with someone who is committed to make the difference and is passionate about Sourcing.
- Settle Sourcing strategy to grant Supply Chain speed reliability cost cash and quality targets;
- Develop the suppliers panel to set up partnerships preferred or on demand supply agreements;
- Develop new suppliers also partnering with Global Category Managers and/or with partners from other world areas;
- Source new materials for new product development initiatives;
- Develop sourcing activities according to main projects needs aligned with project sourcing engineer indications;
- Analyze and discuss terms and conditions of commercial offers;
- Identify areas of potential cost reduction and scouting new and better solutions;
- Lead risk management and supplier relationship initiatives;
- Run tooling assets and investments for assigned categories;
- Partnering with involved departments (Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Quality Material Management) to improve overall Supply Chain processes;
- Ensure compliance with Company guidelines and Sourcing policies and procedures.
You are an accountable person with a strategic demeanor comfortable in leading sophisticated scenarios with excellent communication skills and able to build constructive relationships with your partners.
- Technical or Business Bachelor degree;
- 5 years of Purchasing and Material Management experience with high technical contents;
- Strong experience in buy out parts with a wide market knowledge;
- Experience in tailor made industrial business;
- Proficient in English
- SAP proven understanding;
- Deep knowledge of following categories: Casting Metal Machining and Fabrication
