The Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineering team is dedicated to building automated platforms and solutions to streamline the AWS build and deployment process in dedicated regions. Our vision is to fully automate and enable zerotouch AWS deployments thereby reducing the time it takes to deploy new features and freeing engineers to focus on building new services and capabilities.

The candidate selected must obtain and maintain a security clearance at the TS/SCI with polygraph level. Upon start the selected candidate will be sponsored for a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work

A day in the life
On a typical day our engineers may dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction or expanding the capability of our systems to meet our customers needs. As a member of our team you will join a dedicated group of engineers who own the full software development and operational lifecycle of our teams services.

Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (IoT) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
3 years of full stack development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
Current active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Experience with building dynamic web applications and the APIs that power them (JavaScript/Redux React NodeJs and/or Angular)
Experience with distributed systems consistent hashing distributed locking replication and load balancing.
Advanced knowledge of configuration management systems such as: Puppet Chef Ansible or related systems
2 years of experience working with Linux/Unix systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
