Overview:
Asa Senior Software Engineer at Hypori you will work across the entire technology stack to design implement and maintain APIbased services for cloudhosted SaaS environments. In this role youll have endtoend ownership of projects from conception to deployment creating scalable and efficient applications while providing technical leadership to Hyporis engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop test and maintain scalable secure and highperformance applications within in a microservices architecture using modern technologies and best practices
- Partner with Product & Engineering teams to develop strategies for optimizing application performance scalability availability and security across different platforms and devices
- Independently and in collaboration with crossfunctional teams create robust scalable designs for complex systems or features that consider business requirements technical constraints and future flexibility
- Mentor junior and midlevel engineers sharing knowledge expertise and industry best practices; proactively identify and tackle problems your team is facing
- Influence technical decisions at the team (or organization) level by identifying and articulating tradeoffs
- Troubleshoot debug and resolve complex technical issues to ensure optimal system performance and stability
- Write clean efficient and maintainable code across multiple programming languages and frameworks
- Conduct code reviews providing constructive feedback to peers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Create and maintain technical documentation for software systems and processes
- Protect intellectual property user data and system integrity by (a) adhering to Hyporis policies and procedures for secure software development and (b) following best practices for secure product design implementation and deployment of development build test production and other environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5 years of experience in full stack software development with a proven track record of delivering complex applications
- Expert knowledge of backend programming languages (such as Java and Golang)
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs microservices architecture web services development delivery of services via containerbased environments (Kubernetes) and public cloud platforms (AWS Azure and GCP)
- Solid experience with configuration management systems (Git) CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins etc. managing infrastructure as code and DevOps practices
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to optimize for performance security and scalability
- Experience leading development teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Knowledge of software design patterns architectural principles and best practices for secure coding
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment with changing priorities and requirements
- Ability to work effectively across multiple engineering teams in multiple concurrent complex software projects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including creation and maintenance of documentation
- Must be a US citizen or green card holder
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ Kafka) and eventdriven architectures
- Familiarity with API security best practices (e.g. OAuth JWT rate limiting etc.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for both frontend and backend
Pay Range:
$165000 $190000 USD
