Job Description

Your Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging highquality lessons that support Year 1 students in developing essential skills in literacy numeracy and socialemotional learning
  • Personalise learning to cater to the diverse needs of students including differentiated activities and targeted interventions for students requiring additional support
  • Track and assess students academic progress regularly providing feedback to students and parents to guide future learning
  • Foster a safe engaging environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and develop their selfconfidence
  • Actively contribute to the wholeschool community through extracurricular activities and participation in schoolwide events
  • Support students in their transition from Reception to Year 1 ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all

What Were Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and previous teaching experience in Key Stage 1
  • A passion for early childhood education and creating opportunities for handson creative learning
  • Strong understanding of phonics early literacy and numeracy strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to building positive relationships with students staff and parents
  • An ability to create an environment where all children can thrive academically socially and emotionally
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a drive to improve your teaching practice
