Position Summary: Infanttoddler Teachers provide nurturing care supervision support and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children ages 03 implements High Scope curriculum conducts ongoing assessments works with a team of coworkers and volunteers builds childfocused partnerships with families and support staff and ensures compliance with state and federal licensing and grant requirements.
Job Type: FullTime Salaried Exempt
Expected Schedule: Monday Friday 8a4:30p 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary due to daily schedule.
Rate of Pay: HS/GED with Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA): $17.12 AA: $18.40 BA or Higher: $20.94
Education Requirement: Minimum Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 18 credits in Early Childhood Education (must be attained within four years of hire). Candidates without at least an Associates Degree must complete Child Development Apprenticeship upon hire. Preferred Child Development Associate Certificate (infant/toddler) and two years of related experience.
Qualifications: Proficiency in a variety of Microsoft applications (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook). Strong organizational skills problemsolving and decisionmaking.
Other Selection Criteria: All candidates must possess a valid drivers license and their own reliable transportation complete a physical examination comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check and preemployment drug screen including a negative result for Amphetamines Cannabinoids (including /THC) Opiates and Phencyclidine (PCP). is not legal at the federal level and is prohibited in the workplace or in ones system even if legally prescribed.
