Job Description
RN Obstetrics / Gynecology (Womens Services RN) Night Shift
We are seeking a RN Obstetrics / Gynecology for a 08weeks travel/contract assignment in Rochester NY 14626. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12hr Night; 7p7a
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2160 $2340
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in labor & delivery postpartum nursery and gynecology units.
- Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing; administer medications such as Pitocin magnesium sulfate and other OBspecific .
- Manage patients with drips and IV therapy following physician orders and clinical protocols.
- Assist with gynecological procedures and care for postop female ortho and bariatric patients as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians midwives and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care plans.
- Document nursing care accurately using Meditech and GE EMR systems.
- Respond to emergencies and perform resuscitative measures when necessary.
- Support and educate patients and families throughout labor delivery and postpartum recovery.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active New York RN license (required)
- Experience: 1 year of OB/GYN or Womens Services nursing experience (required)
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required
- Fetal Monitoring Certification Preferred not required
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 50mile radius qualify for travel pay.
