This is a remote position.
Our client is seeking an experienced Shopify developer to assist in duplicating and extending an alreadydesigned custom Shopify theme. The project will involve integrating new page templates into our clients existing custom Shopify architecture using Figma designs and our established design system.
Many of the new pages will replicate the clients current site so we aim to leverage existing templates and components as much as possible to streamline the build.
Review and interpret Figma design files for both desktop and mobile views
Duplicate and integrate new page templates within an existing custom Shopify theme
Extend and optimize an existing theme created by a previous developer
Ensure consistency in design and responsiveness across devices
Follow established style guides headers footers and component systems
Conduct functional testing and resolve layout or performance issues as needed
Collaborate closely with our inhouse design and project team for feedback and iteration
Figma design file (desktop & mobile)
Style guide headers footers and existing design system
Access to the original Shopify theme and codebase
Point of contact for feedback QA and support
We are looking for experienced detailoriented developers who can work independently and deliver highquality code.
Required Skills & Experience:
3 years of experience in Shopify development
Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid HTML CSS (SCSS) and JavaScript
Proven ability to work within existing custom themes and build upon prior developer work
Experience working from Figma files and translating them into pixelperfect themes
Familiarity with responsive design page speed optimisation and best practices for transactional eCommerce websites
Ability to assess project scope estimate hours and deliver on a tight timeline
Confirmation of your Shopify experience especially with custom themes and working within existing codebases
Links to previous Shopify projects or a portfolio
