Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daytoday farming operations in the farm(crop and livestock)
- Ensure the proper use and routine maintenance of farm machinery.
- Hire vet and manage farmhands supervisors and departmental managers.
- Prepare and manage farm budgets.
- Oversee the formulation and packaging of warehouse feed produce.
- Coordinate farm product and byproduct packaging and branding.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote and sell farm produce(locally and interstate).
- Monitor customer feedback and improve production/packaging/distribution service accordingly.
- Identify new markets for expansion(local markets B2B as well as international markets)
- Liaise with farm customers suppliers and delivery partners.
- Monitor and analyse national market trends and adjust operations accordingly for efficiency & profitability.
- Ensure farm operations are in compliance with Nigerian Agricultural laws and health/safety standards.
- Maintain and update accurate records of production sales and inventory.
- Ensure that highquality farm produce is introduced into the consumer market at all times.
- Prepare regular reports for the farm owner and stakeholders.
- Research and implement modern techniques and practice to increase production yield.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and performance improvement among staff.
Requirements:
- 35 years working experience managing farm operations (proven with a portfolio or strong reference).
- Strong leadership and team managerial skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery.
- Solid understanding of budgeting and inventory management.
- Proficiency in communication (speaking writing and listening)
- Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Advanced use of data analytical and reporting software Excel MS Word)
- Ability to be highly productive and effective with no supervision.
- Age between 3040 years preferably female
