The primary objective of this role is to identify and secure new clients and accounts for the marketing and sale of blueberries other fresh commodities and frozen products within designated markets. In addition the role is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing clients including customers wholesalers traders market agents and food service partners while managing sales programs to maximize grower returns and ensure optimal profit margins for the company.
Key Performance Outputs
- Identifying potential clients researching leads and developing strategies to pursue them.
- Developing and implementing marketing plans sales strategies and pricing strategies.
- Analysing market trends identifying opportunities and understanding competitive landscapes.
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to maximise the opportunities to grow the relationship with the customer.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements challenges and goals.
- Submit requests to the Sales Coordinators for new sales orders to be generated in the event of reallocation.
- Delivering compelling presentations / sales plans that highlight the value proposition of the products and services.
- Grow existing accounts to deliver on targets set.
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience
- BComm Degree with a Marketing / Logistics / International Trade major or similar degree.
- Minimum 35 years of work experience.
Functional / Technical
- Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of CRM software advantageous.
- Knowledge of ERP system advantageous.
- Excellent email etiquette.
- Berry marketing knowledge and some degree of product knowledge.
