Job Description
We are a national network of experienced highlevel freelance attorneys and paralegals who provide remote ondemand support for both shortterm and longterm legal projects for our client law firms.Due to increased demand we are now interviewing for a California Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal with the following skills and experience:
Key Skills & Qualifications
Litigation Paralegal Skills
Strong knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure
Proficiency in efiling across California Superior Courts (state and federal)
Familiarity with case calendaring rules and litigation timelines
Ability to manage large case volumes and strict deadlines
Excellent legal writing organization and document drafting skills
Personal InjurySpecific Skills
Experience working on auto accident cases
Knowledge of medical terminology treatment protocols and record review
Comfort handling prelitigation demands liens and mediation prep
Understanding of damages calculation pain and suffering evaluation and structured settlements
CaliforniaSpecific Requirements
Knowledge of California personal injury procedures statutes of limitation and civil court local rules
Experience working with California lienholders (e.g. MediCal Kaiser hospital liens)
Familiarity with Prop 213 comparative fault and CA jury instructions
Previous experience filing in Los Angeles San Diego San Francisco or Orange County courts preferred
Software & Tech Tools
Proficiency in legal software such as CloudLex
Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
Adobe Acrobat and online legal research tools (LexisNexis Westlaw)
The pay rate for this opportunity starts at $35/hour.
