About the Role
Location/Remote: This position is primarily remote with select day(s) working from a location in the DCMDVA metro region.
Agilious is looking for a Delivery Manager with strong Product Owner experience to join our team. In this role the Delivery Manager will be a direct liaison to the client Product team and will be responsible for delivering products using the agile methodology.
What Youll Do
As a Delivery Manager you will:
- Deliver products using the appropriate agile project management methodology learning & iterating frequently
- Work with client Product Owner to define product roadmap OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and translating this into user stories
- Lead the collaborative dynamic planning process prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
- Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage (alpha/beta/production)
- Drive technical excellence and ensure smooth delivery of critical IT projects
- Manage the lifecycle of complex IT projects from inception to completion ensuring they are delivered on time within budget and to the specified quality standards
- Oversee the technical aspects of IT modernization projects from inception to completion ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and quality standards
- Collaborate with architects developers and infrastructure teams to design and implement robust scalable IT solutions
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders ensuring their needs are met expectations are managed and communication remains clear and consistent throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Conduct technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex IT projects
- Serve as a technical liaison between development teams stakeholders and external vendors
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development testing and deployment across the organization
- Actively and openly sharing knowledge of best practice
- Experience setting up teams for successful delivery by removing obstacles (or blockers to progress) and constantly helping the team to become more selforganizing.
Other similar professional duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications:
Clearance: Public Trust Clearance must be obtainable
Must have at least 810 years of industry experience in this or a similar role.
- Adept at delivering complex digital projects breaking down barriers to the team and both planning at a higher level and getting into the details to make things happen when needed.
- Experience setting up teams for successful delivery by removing obstacles (or blockers to progress) and constantly helping the team to become more selforganizing.
- Enterpriselevel experience with large and complex IT modernization efforts specifically including the successful delivery of IT software solutions
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Must possess sharp analytical and excellent communication skills
Education and Training
- A bachelors degree in computer science information systems physics communications engineering math or a related field is required
- An advanced degree in communications computer science or a related discipline may be substituted for two years of experience
- Or a suitable combination of education training or experience.
