Job Description

Packaging Operator
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Packaging Operator will work in a team environment to assemble filters and operate automated packaging
equipment. In this role you will perform all tasks conducted by the team in the manufacturing process and rotate
through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Packaging Operator will perform quality workmanship and keep scheduled deadlines to meet customer
expectations. In addition you will:
Observe all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) rules including housekeeping practices; participate in EHS
meetings investigations and audits
Proactively communicate and address safety concerns
Assemble filters and operate packaging equipment using prescribed manufacturing procedures
Perform LOTO (Lockout / Tagout) procedures as trained
Perform basic troubleshooting of area equipment and process issues
Perform inprocess inspection of materials to ensure conformance with specifications; identify nonconforming
material and filters
Keep accurate records of Lot numbers Model numbers and Serial numbers
Input production data into a Network Database / SAP system
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
Aid in the training of other employees on new or existing procedures
Work and cooperate well on a team to ensure team objectives are met
Assist in the development of new processes to improve product quality and production efficiency and aid in the
development of new product models
Frequently lift and bend when manipulating materials to produce product
Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor Facilitator or Lead

Compensation The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute but a guide and offers will be based on the individual candidates knowledge skills experience and market conditions as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $18.00 hourly.

Qualifications :

Qualifications/Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to work overtime and work occasional weekend shifts as required
Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment for example safety glasses gloves ear plugs and safety
shoes as required
Ability and willingness to perform frequent lifting and bending motions with or without reasonable accommodation as required


Additional Information :

Desired Characteristics:
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
Ability to use hand tools
Ability to learn understand and implement all policies practices and procedures
Previous assembly or machine operation experience
Strong communication skills and ability to learn and understand all policies practices and procedures
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
