The Design Manager is responsible for the of design strategies by developing adapting and implementing design standards for restaurants. This role requires developing expertise in architecture engineering and interior design while ensuring compliance with state and local regulations company brand standards and industry best practices.
Your Impact & Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the Property Development team outsourced architects and consultants to produce construction documents for new and franchised restaurant locations
- Ensures construction documents align with companys design objectives architectural standards and quality standards while maintaining brand integrity
- Provides creative direction to architects for custom or unique site conditions including overall site planning and interior layouts for conversions of existing buildings and nontraditional projects
- Develops innovative design solutions for space planning construction details material selection and branded storefronts
- Serves as a subject matter expert supporting current technical needs and requirements to the overall development program assuring best in class designs
- Communicates design solutions using companyspecified presentation formats and industry standard design tools such as AutoCAD Bluebeam SketchUp Photoshop and InDesign
- Reports on project progress and integrates analytics lessons learned and best practices to continuously refine design standards
Qualifications :
- 3 years of experience managing and reviewing construction plans and specifications for retail or restaurant projects
- 3 years of experience in architectural and site plan design cost and quality control material and equipment installation bidding practices and assessing material and labor costs
- Proficiency in AutoCAD InDesign SketchUp and Photoshop a plus
- Microsoft Proficient: Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Word
- Detailoriented organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
- Resultsoriented and flexible with strong analytical written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
- Able to work fulltime at the Restaurant Support Office in Plano TX and travel up to 15
- Bachelors degree in architecture civil engineering construction management or related
