The Opportunity

We are seeking an Electronic Repair Technician (ERT) to perform electronic electrical and mechanical repairs on medical imaging equipment. This role is crucial for developing new revenue streams by establishing repair processes for highfailure parts and assemblies. Key responsibilities include systemlevel to componentlevel troubleshooting using electronic test equipment (e.g. multimeters oscilloscopes power supplies) and conducting failure analyses without schematics. The ERT will document repair procedures test results and maintain detailed repair histories. The position is based in a clean quiet and wellequipped workshop focused on repair testing process development and product support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of analog digital and RF circuits at system subassembly and component levels.
  • Conduct QA testing to verify that parts are repaired and fully operational.
  • Perform PCBlevel rework including hand soldering and SMT/PTH technology repairs.
  • Write and maintain work procedures test protocols and repair documentation.
  • Maintain bill of materials and QA test procedures for all repairs.
  • Review test and repair returned products to OEM specifications.
  • Stage test and document equipment for deployment.
  • Enter inventory data and maintain accurate records.
  • Research and develop new repair and refurbishment opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams.
  • Test and repair RF coils and amplifiers.
  • Create review and update work instructions ensuring ISO 13485 compliance.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities youll need for this opportunity:

  • AS/AA Degree in Electronic Engineering Electromechanical Technology or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in electronic testing troubleshooting and repair.
  • High mechanical aptitude and proven experience with hand tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced office/warehouse setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical problemsolving skills.
  • Analytical thinking and strong problemsolving capabilities.
  • Ability to read interpret and apply information from technical procedures business publications and regulations.
  • Skilled in defining problems collecting data analyzing information and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Proven ability to solder clean joints and differentiate between good and poor connections.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills even without schematics or full documentation.
  • Proficient with electronic test equipment including digital multimeters oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and medical device quality standards (preferred).
