Laboratory Technician

As a Laboratory Technician at Eurofins Genomics Europe DTC & Population Genetics Products & Services Limited the purpose of this role will be to performs analytical laboratory work.

Please note this is a full time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 23:00. 

• Handling and recording of accurate analytical source data including insertion of these in Eurofins systems (Worksheets LIMS and QMS).
• Preparation of SOPs for analytical work regarding the laboratory technicians protocol and instrument responsibility. 
• Ensure personal User Training Log is up to date and properly documented. 
• Contribute to the preparation of safety procedures. 
• Perform sample reception quality control normalization of samples PCR preparations procedures for analysis on the instrument and Micro Array procedures. 
• Sample shipment. 
• Controlling pipettes once a year and maintain pipettes in the laboratory areas which the Laboratory Technician is a part of. 
• Maintain the laboratory which the Laboratory Technician is a part of. 
• Reporting any problems in the laboratory to the Team Leader. 
• Perform monthly stock inventory 
• Ensure that the laboratory performs analysis at a prominent level of quality and deliver reliable results within deadlines. 
• Ensure analysis is performed according to the company policies and standards

Qualifications :

• Prior laboratory experience is essential for this role.
• BSc degree in related scientific field desirable.
• Good command of written and spoken English is essential. 
• High sense of quality flexibility team spirit as well as being able to work  independently and very reliable way of working.
• Flexibility and willingness for shift work.
• Excellent IT knowledge and experience.
