Job Description
Position Summary:
Performs routine and nonroutine sampling monitoring and data collection activities in support of environmental monitoring programs and client service requests. Candidates will drive a company vehicle and travel to various locations within a 1 hour and 20 minute radius of our location in Virginia Beach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collects documents packages and ships samples in accordance with appropriate projectspecific sampling and analysis plans/protocols.
- Assists with routine and nonroutine data collection activities for environmental monitoring programs which may involve hazardous material/waste project sites.
- Assists with routine sample preparation and/or analyses generally on site in support of mobile laboratory operations or screening surveys.
- Completes documents and is responsible for quality control of all assignments.
- Follows and enforces company health and safety policies.
- Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance
- Additional duties as required including courier responsibilities
Candidates will spend time driving performing field sampling and helping out at our office filling bottle orders.
The Field Sampler will cover up to a 1 hour and 20 minute radius from our office in Virginia Beach.
Position is 1st shift 8:30am4:30pm MF.
Qualifications :
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to lift 2550 lbs. regularly
- Valid and uptodate drivers license
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Prior field sampling experience
- Previous lab experience is a plus.
- Prior courier or delivery driving experience is a plus
Additional Information :
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement including the ability to read write and speak in English.
Pay rate: $18/hour
