About the Role
The Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role by overseeing all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This position ensures optimal performance of machinery drives preventive and predictive maintenance efforts and leads a team of maintenance professionals to support continuous production operations. The role requires handson technical expertise strong project management skills and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Plan implement and monitor routine preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Diagnose and repair electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Oversee installation and modification of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain and utilize maintenance management software to track work orders and equipment history
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Manage maintenance inventory tools and supplies to support operational needs
- Read and interpret blueprints electrical schematics and technical manuals
- Support capital projects and perform special facility maintenance tasks as assigned
- Coordinate with production and department leaders to prioritize maintenance needs
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to uphold high technical and safety standards
- Perform basic administrative tasks including purchasing parts and maintaining maintenance records
- Act as backup supervisor when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in maintenance
- Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs electrical circuits motors relays disconnects and fuses
- Strong understanding of pneumatics hydraulics and industrial mechanical systems
- Ability to perform and lead preventative and predictive maintenance activities
- Skilled in using maintenance software and Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and engineering diagrams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Industrial Maintenance Engineering or a related field
- Certification in electrical mechanical or industrial maintenance
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance
