Carpenter

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of Carpenter on a 4months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 17.50 22.96 per hour

Summary:

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our Property Maintenance Team. You will be responsible for delivering highquality carpentry and general maintenance work across a range of properties throughout the borough. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry have a full driving licence and bring additional knowledge of other trades such as plumbing plastering or basic electrical work. A council van will be provided for all workrelated travel.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of carpentry work including repairs installations and maintenance of doors windows floors kitchens fencing and roofing structures.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks in residential and public buildings across the borough.
  
• Conduct assessments measure and cut materials according to project specifications.
• Liaise effectively with tenants colleagues and management to ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Council procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent recognized qualification).

Essentials:

• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
