Job Purpose:
- Provide support to ensure the complete financial integrity of local Costa Rica & Salisbury (US) Operations including but not limited to inventory control product costing reporting and account reconciliations. Supports the Finance Business Partners and Operations management teams in the pursuit of continuous improvements in cost quality & delivery performance.
Qualifications:
- Accounting/Finance degree required from an accredited College or University
- 5 years minimum of costing experience in a manufacturing environment working with engineering and operations personnel on development and analysis of cost standards in support of continuous improvement.
- Advanced English level MANDATORY
- Advanced Excel skills and experience of interrogating financial systems/ large data manipulation.
The Individual:
- Demonstrated work experience for a large multinational listed Group (either directly or via an audit background).
- Proven extensive experience of consolidated accounting and interpretation and application of accounting standards.
- Contributed to implementing improvements to finance systems and processes and creating efficiencies.
- Record of developing and maintaining strong professional relationships that have improved the overall stakeholder experience.
- Experience of working in a fastpaced environment and can work flexibly to changing internal and external customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly Operational results annual budgets and forecasts providing analysis insight and reporting of production variances to determine root cause and required corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to support site objectives in terms of cost lead time inventory and efficiency improvements ensuring financial impacts are validated and tracked in accordance with the company guidelines.
- Generate monthly inventory reconciliations inventory profiling to avoid over procurement driving accuracy through management of the cycle count process ensuring accurate recording and understanding of inventory issues s and obsolete items.
- Ensure sound financial control procedures exist throughout the plant conduct audits and revise procedures as required. Maintain knowledge of latest accounting policies practices and procedures to ensure full integrity and compliance of financials.
- Control and maintenance of standard costs management of the annual cost roll process and calculation of burden rates establishing and ensuring correct setup of new product cost and analyzing deviations from standards throughout the financial year.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of capital expenditure requests in support of the budgeting and planning process.
- Perform monthly gross margin analysis by product line to identify price/margin erosion and assist sales product management and finance in constructing and implementing solutions.
- Support Finance Business Partners with special/adhoc project work as required.
- Proposes discusses and agrees actions with stakeholders and leads or supports implementation of any actions.
- Provide commentary and insight on the monthly financial results to senior stakeholders. Continually seek feedback from stakeholders as to how reporting can be enhanced. Responsible for drawing stakeholder attention to the commercial implications of performance.
- Accountable for maintaining a strong financial control environment and ensures that Company financial policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to within the function.
