General Dynamics Mission SystemsCanada is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our A&N Sonar team. In this role youll direct projectassigned engineers and matrixed support teams ensuring seamless while supporting the Program Managers with requirements monitoring cost and schedule performance.
You will collaborate with leadership to align project needs and drive technical excellence. Youll analyze risks engage with crossfunctional teams including Supply Chain Engineering and Contracts. From handson design analysis and testing to customer interfacing and technical documentation youll play a pivotal role in delivering highimpact solutions.
- Directing projectassigned engineers and matrixed support personnel during project
- Coordinating with leadership to ensure that the project needs are met
- Providing technical inputs to and reviewing technical outputs from subcontractors;
- Delivering project objectives that meet requirements to schedule and on budget;
- In conjunction with the PM reviewing project performance on a monthly basis analyzing risks (technical cost schedule) initiating corrective action when required;
- Interfacing with support departments Supply Chain Component Engineering Contracts;
- Communicating and interfacing with customers;
- Performing design analysis and/or test activities in support of completing the project objectives;
- Documenting analysis designs and tests (e.g. architecture diagrams UML diagrams tech notes design documents test plans and test reports) in the format prescribed by standard templates
- Writing formal test cases and execute them to collect formal test results
- Preparing written test reports for submission to the end customer
- Investigating system problem reports and field incident reports; perform root cause and trend analyses
- Providing technical support during higher level integration and qualification testing
- Making presentations of work at design reviews or other types of peer reviews
Qualifications :
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8years of experience
- Experience in/with:
- Requirements development and system design
- Requirements management tools
- Systems Engineering processes and tools
- Supporting System Integration and System Verification
- Working in multidisciplinary teams
- Technical writing
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to conduct analysis leading to good conclusions
- Enthusiastic contributor willing to learn and takes pride and ownership of work
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
