Job Description
WPHLTV is hiring!.
WPHLTV/CW is hiring an energetic & dynamic onair CoHost/Reporter for a daily hourlong lifestyle show launching in Philadelphia this fall.
The show will highlight local businesses and events happening throughout the Delaware Valley to help promote our brand We Are Philadelphia.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering live lifestyle and entertainment content for TV and Digital every weekday
- Conducting compelling interviews and engaging demonstrations with guests and clients both in studio and on location
- Assists in writing researching and coordinating content.
- Actively participate in daily content meetings.
- Knowledge of current events pop culture and community connections.
- Contributing their best ideas in content discussions and pitch meetings
- Researching show topics and developing questions for guests in coordination with the Executive Producer/Cohost and producer.
- Working closely with the Executive Producer/Cohost Producer Creative Services Producers as well as the Sales & Marketing teams to put on the best show dayin and dayout
- Writing stories and posts for the shows website and social media pages
- Participating in community events to help promote the show and the station
- Assisting sales department on presentations including meeting with clients as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Creative Services Director.
Requirements & Skills
- Bachelors degree in journalism communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum one year OnAir hosting or reporting experience in a live production environment
- Must be a highly motivated selfstarter able to work alone and as part of a team
- Ability to write stories for onair and the web
- Ability to and edit stories a huge plus
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite especially Adobe Premiere.
- Knowledge of ENPS
- Knowledge of Wordpress is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Software especially Outlook and Microsoft Word
- Demo reel of previous hosting/reporting experience required (no exceptions).
