Chemours is seeking an Electrical Engineer Coop to join our Louisville Works team! This position will report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.
As an Electrical Engineer Coop you will work closely with the Louisville Technical team gaining valuable experience through handson projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to realtime engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what youve learned in the classroom.
Effective engineering coops will have the ability to communicate with impact have strong selfawareness and will be naturally inquisitive.
Location: Louisville KY
Hours: Regular fulltime schedule of 40 hours per week
Preferred First Term: MayAugust 2025
Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of six 6 months as a coop. Two 2 or more terms may be required.
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Assisting engineers with automation and process control support troubleshooting and implementing control improvements
Electrical and Instrumentation design evaluation
Participating in process safety management activities
Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
Further development of electrical technology
Alarm Management and other reoccurring responsibilities
The following is required for this role:
Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at time of assignment
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar fields
Familiarity with Microsoft Word Excel and Power Point
The following is preferred for this role:
Participation in relevant activities organizations and projects beyond the classroom
3.0 GPA or above
