POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Assistant Plant Manager you will play a vital role in supporting the daytoday operations of our seafood processing facility. Working alongside the Plant Manager and production teams you will help uphold highquality standards streamline workflows and lead production staff to achieve operational goals. This handson leadership position requires demonstrated seafood processing experience strong problemsolving abilities and the capability to excel in a dynamic fastpaced setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Plant Manager and collaborate with the Production Manager to oversee daily production operations ensuring efficiency and quality assurance.
Develop and coordinate production schedules managing material availability and labor needs.
Maximize the use of plant equipment and workforce to enhance output and control costs.
Gather track and evaluate production data to drive operational improvements.
Uphold highquality standards while innovating and implementing new processing methods.
Support logistics for incoming and outgoing products to ensure smooth workflow.
Mentor train and collaborate with production staff to foster a skilled and motivated team.
Enforce all safety regulations and promote best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Identify and resolve operational challenges promptly to minimize production downtime.
Operate forklifts as needed in both production and cold storage areas.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Prior experience in the seafood processing industry is required.
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent problemsolving skills to inspire and guide teams.
Keen attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fastmoving environment.
Solid organizational and time management skills.
Experience in plant operations and production scheduling.
Knowledge of seafood safety standards and processing best practices.
Ability to multitask efficiently in a highspeed environment.
Strong communication interpersonal and time management skills.
Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in Chinese Japanese or Vietnamese is a plus.
