Hardware Engineer Aerospace Defense and Space Solutions
Location: Bohemia NY 100 Onsite
Salary Range: $90000 $140000 (based on experience)
Employment Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Person or eligible for Department of State or Department of Commerce licensing

We specialize in delivering highreliability connectivity power and control solutions to the Aerospace Defense and Space industries supporting some of the worlds most critical missions.

Design and develop advanced circuit card assemblies (CCAs) including component selection schematic capture and PCB layout support.
Verify hardware through test planning simulations and performance evaluations to ensure missioncritical reliability.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers IP developers and system architects to integrate hardware into complex platforms.
Troubleshoot and debug hardware throughout development and production driving resolutions quickly and effectively.
Optimize designs for cost manufacturability thermal management and signal integrity.
Document thoroughly throughout the design and testing phases for transparency and continuity.
Develop project plans and schedules to meet key delivery milestones.
Mentor junior engineers sharing knowledge and instilling best practices across the team.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to advance technology processes and product performance.
Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline.
Experience: 28 years of handson hardware design experience with complex systems involving FPGAs Microcontrollers and highspeed digital interfaces.
Tools Expertise: Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Cadence OrCAD and Cadence Allegro.
Technical Strength:
Solid foundation in analog and digital circuit design.
Knowledge of highspeed interfaces like PCI PCIe USB and Ethernet.
Strong understanding of signal integrity power management and thermal design.
ProblemSolving: A sharp eye for diagnosing and resolving hardware issues quickly and effectively.
Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
Experience with the DO254 certification process across all SOI stages.
Familiarity with environmental testing standards (thermal shock & vibration).
Handson work with MILSTD1553 ARINC429 and CAN protocols.
Knowledge of MultiChip Module (MCM) designs.
Contribute to missioncritical programs that impact aerospace defense and space exploration.
