Job Description
BaptistCare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing and actively completing the maintenance and property support services across both Kitty Doyle Apartments and Gimbawali Place. The successful candidate will ensure that all buildings equipment and grounds are maintained to the highest standards in compliance with current regulations and BaptistCares quality standards.
About Kitty Doyle Apartments: Kitty Doyle Apartments is a thriving community of seniors. The complex consists of two buildings with 79 one and twobedroom apartments. Residents enjoy beautifully landscaped gardens a BBQ area a community centre and a veggie garden. The apartments offer stunning views of the city Canada Bay and the inner west from higher floors while ground floor apartments feature tranquil garden outlooks
About Gimbawali Place: Gimbawali Place is BaptistCares largest social and affordable community housing complex. It consists of 162 one two and threebedroom apartments for people over 55 and singleparent families who are still in the workforce. The complex features panoramic views of Sydney Parramatta and Homebush from some apartment balconies a central courtyard childrens playground community space with a kitchen communal lounge area basement carpark and landscaped surrounds
About the role
- Manage and perform both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of buildings plant equipment furniture fittings gardens lawns and carparks
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Social and Affordable housing regulations and legislation and other relevant regulations
- Work closely with Site Managers and the Area Manager (Property) to deliver maintenance services
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the maintenance of site vehicles plant and machinery
- Liaise with contractors tradespersons suppliers and volunteers to ensure all work is completed to BaptistCares standards
About you
- Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance plant and equipment.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills & experience in leading contractors
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to upholding BaptistCares values and standards.
- Relevant Trade Qualification highly recommended
- Current Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Demonstrated commitment to WHS in the workplace
- Have empathy flexibility and patience
- Sound computer literacy in Word Excel and Outlook
- Experience using a CMMS (recommended)
- NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment purposes
