Synergy a leading Boston commercial real estate firm seeks a Residential Building individual will be a key member of our maintenance staff working under supervision performing all maintenance duties and responding to work orders tenant calls and other operational/administrative duties for an Urbanbased residential building.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry plumbing electrical painting roofing heating and cooling.
- Schedule and oversee the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping snow removal remodeling HVAC plumbing and cleaning.
- Assists in performing repairs emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
- Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
- Able to troubleshoot appliances make repairs and replace when necessary.
- Maintains the building lighting and HVAC systems and ensures Fire Protection systems are operating properly.
- Performs welding carpentry furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
- Responds quickly to emergency situations summoning additional assistance as needed.
- Participates in off hours on call rotation performs other duties as assigned.
Job requirements
What were looking for in you:
- Work experience in building maintenance and operations including HVAC electrical plumbing pneumatic controls system EMS and other building mechanical systems preferred.
- HVAC or Electrical skills a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook; experience with electronic work order and preventative maintenance systems.
- The candidate must have a valid Massachusetts drivers license.
Work Conditions & Essential Physical Characteristics
- Work to be performed both inside the property and outside with exposure to weather fumes electrical current and machine noise.
- Frequent walking standing bending climbing repetitive use of hands power hand grasping and reaching above and below shoulder level.
- Occasional sitting squatting crawling kneeling.
- May be required to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally weighing up to 75 pounds.
