Job Description Summary
This is an ongoing assignment on an as needed basis scheduled to work less then 19 hours a week at the Sandi Simon Center for Dance 350 N. Cypress St Orange CA 92866.
Responsibilities
Play musical instrument as soloist or as a member of musical group to accompany dance students and faculty during classes rehearsals and performances and concerts.
Required Qualifications
Experience accompanying dance classes (ballet modern and/or jazz) Exceptional piano skills with proficiency in sightreading improvisation and playing in various styles and genres Strong understanding of musical elements as they relate to movement (tempo rhythm phrasing dynamics) Excellent communication and collaborative skills Ability to take direction and adapt quickly to changing needs within a class Reliable punctual and professional work ethic
