We are looking for a datadriven detailoriented leader who can influence teams to deliver results and create impact for EC2 customers. This is a challenging and highly visible position responsible for developing business programs that incorporate various stakeholders collaborating with engineering leadership to develop products to improve customer experience and drive efficiency in the worlds largest distributed computing environment.
Technical Program Managers in EC2 are force multipliers who represent service teams to senior leadership and enable their teams to deliver business value through engineering excellence. As a TPM in the EC2 Commercial Software Services team you will be responsible for identifying the stakeholders working with leadership to develop a vision roadmaps and strategies for business programs that are supported by service teams that serve some of our most strategic customers. TPMs handle complex interteam dependencies and bridge the gaps in technical management. You will need to work with professionals in many different domains including finance engineering engineering management dev support. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background be detailoriented have excellent problem solving and communication abilities and poses a deep understanding of product design and implementation details. Candidates technical expertise and operational excellence will raise the bar and influence the teams decisions and drive secure and robust solutions which have great customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
1. Establish crossfunctional teams create trust with a variety of stakeholders by establishing required process for effective communication eliminate nonvalueadd activity contribute to designing solutions with focus on reducing operational cost remove blockers and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.
2. TPM will be fully competent in a variety of project management tools methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life cycle and have experience in core project management disciplines including scope schedule resources quality risk management metric focussed reporting and tracking.
3. To utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to drive consensus make decisions provide updates to senior leadership innovate on behalf of customers.
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of software development experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or equivalent
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
