Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Costa Mesa CA Hybrid role 23 days a week in office) with up to 10 travel required
Overview
Daisy is a national smart space installation and services company that simplifies smart home and office technology to make it work optimally solving one of the biggest inhome problems today and bringing more joy into the lives of our clients.
Reporting to the Controller the Accounting Manager will have various duties and responsibilities in a company that will require you to work across different departments and take on several tasks within the accounting and finance niche. This person will work closely with our Southern California branches as well as crossfunctionally with the internal team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monthend close ensuring accuracy within deadline for assigned branches
Prepare journal entries for and related balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned Daisy branches
Review monthly expense accruals across branches and departments
Review the monthly income statement and balance sheet analytics
Maintain accurate and timely records of accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries
Timely customer invoicing and oversee collections
Manage vendor and credit card payments
Manage payroll administration and journal entries
Reconcile bank credit card and merchant accounts monthly
Prepare and review monthly financial statements job cost reports and cash flow forecasts
Monitor inventory COGS and project profitability
Support accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 based on project milestones and service delivery
Track deferred revenue and ensure proper timing of income recognition for multiphase installations
Manage 1099 Tax Filings
Coordinate with leadership to manage budgeting and forecasting
Ensure proper sales tax tracking and filing for multiple jurisdictions
Other duties and adhoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting ; CPA preferable but not required
Proficient with NetSuite
Extremely organized and detail oriented maintaining a system of controls policies and procedures over monthend activities across central team and branch teams across various states
Familiar with project accounting preferable but not required
Ensure excellent communications including by proactively managing escalated issues and bring them to resolution
Ability to be a positive highly accountable team player ready to work in an exciting environment that changes quickly
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary of $95K plus 10 bonus
