Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain & Develop Linux Infrastructure: Ensure 24x7 availability of our Linux environments.
- System Administration: Manage coordinate and implement software updates patches and hotfixes on servers.
- Support Across Levels: Provide L1 L2 and L3 support for server issues.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve overall system efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams to design and deploy automation strategies using tools like Kubernetes and Ansible.
- Cloud & Virtualization: Manage virtual environments in AWS and internal VMware ESX environments.
- Server Management: Deploy and manage both physical and virtual servers ensuring scalability and performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor systems troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system capacity.
- Disaster Recovery: Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) drills.
- OnCall & Weekend Support: Provide oncall support as needed and scheduled weekend support.
Key Qualifications
- 5 Years of Experience as a Linux Administrator in complex environments.
- Expertise with Linux (RedHat) in both physical and virtual environments.
- Handson Experience with Kubernetes VMware Tanzu and AWS infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware (HPE or similar) and architecture.
- Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in developing scripts (Python Bash etc. to automate tasks.
- Cloud Expertise: Experience working with AWS and managing virtual machines.
- Experience with server clustering and Veritas cluster technologies is a plus.
- Windows OS knowledge is an added advantage.
