Data Scientist Systematic Hedge Fund
Overview
Our client is a USHeadquartrerd hedge fund who leverage advanced data analytics and cuttingedge technology to drive investment strategies. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to contribute to our systematic trading models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science statistical analysis and preferably financial markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Management: Gather clean and preprocess large datasets from various financial sources. Ensure data integrity and accuracy for reliable analysis.
- Model Development: Design implement and validate predictive models and algorithms to optimize trading strategies. Use machine learning techniques to enhance model performance.
- Quantitative Analysis: Perform indepth statistical analysis to identify trends patterns and anomalies in financial markets. Translate findings into actionable insights for trading decisions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with portfolio managers traders and IT teams to integrate models into trading systems. Communicate complex concepts and results effectively to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science machine learning and finance. Propose and experiment with innovative approaches to improve trading performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Statistics Computer Science Finance or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in data science preferably within the financial industry or a similar quantitative field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python R or Java. Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow scikitlearn) and data visualization tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problemsolving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work with complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial instruments markets and trading strategies is advantageous.
