Job Description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (Selma CA)

Location: 7736 E. Springfield Ave. Selma CA 93662

Shifts: Monday Friday (weekends and overtime as needed)
Position: Hourly
Payroll: BiWeekly

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a large manufacturing facility. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our foundry machine shop and fabrication shops by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various types of industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate will have handson experience with CNC machines air compressors welders and other industrial machinery. The Maintenance Technician will work as part of a team to minimize equipment downtime and support production efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on industrial equipment ensuring all machines operate at peak performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines air compressors welders and other industrial equipment.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct diagnostics inspections and routine servicing of mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Work closely with other maintenance technicians to efficiently complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document completed work using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with installation and setup of new machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Clean and maintain the work area and equipment including tools.
  • Perform additional jobrelated tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred and 12 years maintenanceexperience
  • Mechanical experience in hydraulics electronics repair and related mechanical applications preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Teamoriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others to work as a team.
  • Must have the ability to perform accurate measurements and basic arithmetic.
  • Must be able to use a measuring tape caliper and other measuring tools.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work independently detailoriented with strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting twisting and bending:

  • Standing: Frequent to continuous
  • Sitting: Occasional to frequent
  • Walking: Occasional to frequent
  • Bending/Stooping/Squatting/Kneeling: Occasional to frequent
  • Gripping/manipulation: Frequent
  • Lifting and Carrying: Up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis from floor to waist up to 25 feet


Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The employee operates in a loud noise level environment. This position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and uses standard heavy equipment and tools.

The employee must wear a respirator and hard hat (when applicable) approved safety glasses hearing protection and steeltoed shoes at all times.

Personal Protective Equipment and Safety

Employees must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times including safety glasses a respirator hearing protection and steeltoed (steel or composite toe) shoes. Always adhere to established safety practices.
