Overview
Corporate Banking (CB) is a technology centric business with an increasing move to realtime processing an increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems and access to supporting data. Joining our team is a unique opportunity to help rebuild the core of some of our most mission critical processing systems from the groundup. As a Cloud Engineer you will design implement and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ensuring cost efficiency in addition to other responsibilities.

What Youll Do
Design implement and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ensuring cost efficiency
Plan infrastructure capacity and throughput to accommodate processing of large volumes of data; diagnose and eliminate performance bottlenecks; optimize cloud expenditures by leveraging costsaving strategies like committed use discounts autoscaling and resource rightsizing
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Deployment Manager to automate and manage infrastructure deployments
Establish and enforce security protocols Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and compliance measures to protect data and meet organizational requirements
Establish maintenance and troubleshooting operating procedures for cloud infrastructure
Create and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions to enable automated and efficient application deployments
How Youll Lead
Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and best practices within GCP
Collaborate effectively across various technical and nontechnical teams
Skills Youll Need
Cloudnative application architecture and deployment
Strong proficiency with administering and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and proficiency with tools like Jenkins GitHub Terraform Helm and
Ansible for managing infrastructure and applications
Strong experience with (IaC) tools including Terraform and GCPnative Deployment Manager
Expertise in security practices IAM policies and compliance requirements for cloud environments as well as developing highthroughput highcapacity applications
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloudbased infrastructure and applications
Google Cloud certifications such as Associate Cloud Engineer Professional Cloud Architect or Professional DevOps Engineer are highly valued
Experience with Kafka Messaging Broker with Structured Query Language (SQL) databases including GCP BigQuery in managing Elasticsearch/Opensearch and with Cloud Composer and Google Cloud DataProc would a plus
Expertise in deploying and managing Java applications is a plus
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across various technical and nontechnical teams
Expectations
It is the Banks expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Banks hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125000 to $ salaries may be based on a number of factors including but not limited to a candidates skill set experience education work location and other salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
