Job Description
Job Summary:
The purpose of the Custodian is to be responsible for performing custodial duties minor maintenance and other miscellaneous responsibilities to ensure Engineered Floors buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy safe and sanitary manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean offices meeting rooms breakrooms and restroom facilities
- Mop floor areas.
- Dust all furniture and fixtures as required
- Wash and disinfect all restroom floors toilets toilet seats hand dryers and fixtures
- Clean all mirrors
- Replenish tissue and soap as needed
- Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans in restrooms in and around break areas and place garbage in outside storage bin
- Clean main entrances and exits including glass doors and hardware and keep outside areas clear of cans paper etc.
- Clean wash and disinfect drinking fountains
- Clean kitchen sinks and counters
- Report minor maintenance repairs damages and acts of vandalism
- Spot clean walls and toilet partitions
- Maintain storage areas cleaning equipment materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Ability to stand walk bend and stretch the majority of the shift
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 55 lbs.
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System preferred
- Ability to read and understand labels and instructions in English particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
- Overtime is required on occasion.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
