Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with ADHD and ASD and will be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide oneonone assistance to students with ASD and ADHD to help them stay focused and engaged
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist in classroom management and behaviour support
- Collaborate with the lead teacher parents and support staff to ensure the individual needs of students are being met
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with ASD and ADHD
- Understanding of inclusive education practices and strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience empathy and a genuine passion for working with children
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of students
- Relevant certification or training in special education or related field is preferred
DaytoDay
- Work closely with the lead teacher to provide individualized support to students with ASD and ADHD
- Implement accommodations and modifications as needed to support student learning
- Maintain open communication with the lead teacher parents and other support staff
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide feedback and support to students to help them reach their full potential
