DIESEL TECHNICIAN JOB PURPOSE:
With over 40 years of experience Van Kirk Bros Contracting is a leaderin infrastructure work including sewer lagoons and lift stations. We can fabricate almost any concrete structure and build roadbeds with underground storm sewers. With over 120 employees our company runs more than 15 knowledgeable and highly experienced crews across the Midwest.
As a Diesel Technician at Van Kirk Bros Contracting you will be essential for our business and key to ensuring that not only are our trucks and machines up and running but our customers as well. You will benefit from diversity of work daily problem solving and making an immediate impact.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Complete diagnostics troubleshooting and appropriate repairs and rebuilds on trucks and equipment
- Reference and interpret service parts and diagnostic software to determine problems/malfunctions and to verify repair specifications and parts needed.
- Accomplish repair by following parts ordering process completing service reports and giving appropriate verbal or written communication in email or service reports.
- Demonstrate the highest level of safety standards and holds others accountable for upholding best safety practices.
Job requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with closeknit team and maintain high levels of organization to ensure promptness and maximize efficiency
- Ability to obtain or valid Class A CDL required
