Location: Omagh

As a Production Supervisor at Terex based in Omagh youll play a pivotal role in building equipment that helps improve the lives of people around the world.


What youll do:

Reporting to the Production Manager the Supervisor will be involved in a wide range of activities in relation to managing and coordinating the building of mobile crushing machines to meet ontime deliveries in the most effective manner.

Duties include:

  • Lead and manage the production team on a daily basis in terms of labour work instruction attendance management training and development; and all areas of employee relations.
  • Controlling and managing the production levels on the shop floor to ensure that the targets are achieved.
  • Monitor the continual flow of material so that relevant parts and materials are available in a timely manner.
  • Strive for continuous improvement guaranteeing that the highest quality of product is maintained.
  • To attend and organise the daily and weekly production meetings.
  • Promote health and safety within the workplace and ensure compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations.
  • To ensure the production line is run in accordance with lean manufacturing practices and principals.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
  • Ensure compliance to all general site Rules Regulations and Policies.

What youll bring:

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Candidates should be qualified to minimum of GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured manufacturing environment.
  • Experience and proven track record of Supervisory and /or people management is essential.
  • An understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques an advantage.
  • Awareness of visual management.
  • Computer literate and experience of Oracle /ERP systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities and goals.
  • Good team player and able to work on own initiative.
