Job Description

Seeking a highperforming Senior Associate to join our Workplace Relations Employment & Safety (WRES) practice in Melbourne

The role

Our highly regarded Melbourne WRES team currently has an exciting opportunity for a highperforming Senior Associate to join their growing practice.

The WRES team act in high profile matters across both the private and public sectors on all aspects of workplace relations. The matters you will be working on are varied and encompass all aspects of workplace law including general employment disputes workplace investigations and industrial relations. You will play a key part in shaping the strategic direction of matters and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Skills and experience


To be successful in this role you will preferably have:

  • Experience in a Senior Lawyer (Associate level) or Senior Associate position
  • Proven experience working on industrial relations employment and/or workplace health and safety matters
  • Demonstrated a capability to work autonomously as well as a team member to manage a robust and diverse workload
  • A high degree of initiative dedication and organisational ability with a strong client and commercial focus
  • Strong communication skills and practical problem solving skills
  • A desire to develop and participate in business development initiatives including seminars and publishing articles
  • A proactive attitude towards personal development to expand your skills and knowledge to meet client needs

The WRES team

Our WRES team boasts some of Australias leading workplace lawyers and are the goto team for large organisations with challenging workplace needs.

Our group works with clients across the full spectrum of the employment relationship; from recruitment through to management and termination. Our work spans all facets of employment law industrial relations discrimination work health and safety executive remuneration and diversity.
