Security Industry Specialist TSI

The Security Industry Specialist is responsible for providing advanced expertise consultation and guidance on industry trends best practices and innovative solutions in eCommerce fraud cyber security and compliance risks.

We are looking for an experienced risk specialist with industry experience in eCommerce fraud compliance or cyber fraud investigations with relevant risk management experience and technical experience with cybersecurity crypto security engineering etc. and data analysis skills (SQL Python Machine Learning Data Science etc.. An Individual in this role will own critical and high impact risk investigations and root cause analysis projects to scale their findings through technology and analytics (SQL Python machine learning). Further an individual in this role is responsible to interpret risks across Amazons different business segment while developing pragmatic and systematic solutions to solve endemic problems.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about working in a fastpaced environment solving highly ambiguous problems through use of advanced data analytics and technology. The role will require the individual to dive deep into complex and diverse data sets to identify risk patterns and establish connections to uncover process and technology gaps to prevent fraud across Amazon stores worldwide. Key job responsibilities
Complete risk analyses using complex data sets leveraging SQL Python R etc.
Balance use of data and judgment to drive faster action on complex and ambiguous risk investigations.
Identify gaps and risks in Amazons current mechanisms and policies and recommend solutions to product/policy owning teams.
Use data and/or technical skills to discover new ways to scale risk signals resulting in the identification of all bad actors.
Break problems into manageable pieces ruthlessly prioritizing and delivering results in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment.
Conduct large scale deep dives to derive insights about tactics used to conduct abuse on our stores identifying gaps and risk in Amazons current mechanisms systems and policies.
Discover solutions and convey detailed technical knowledge (verbally in writing and via diagram) to engineering legal and program/product management teams

Bachelors degree in Information Security Computer Science Data Science/Analytics Engineering Mathematics Statistics with 5 years of relevant industry experience handling cyber security risks fraud investigations or regulatory compliance.
OR
Masters degree in computer science information security Data science/Analytics Engineering Mathematics Statistics with 3 yrs of relevant industry experience in handling cyber security risks fraud investigations or regulatory compliance.
Highly proficient in data analysis (SQL or experience with multiterabyte and petabyte relational databases) or scripting (i.e. Python R MATLAB).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate security and business risk to a broad range of technical and nontechnical audiences.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
Proven ability to deliver complex projects across multiple teams.
Excellent leadership negotiation teamwork and collaboration skills.
Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically.
Experience implementing repeatable processes and automation or standardization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
CompTIA Security certification or other cyber security certifications


Masters degree in computer science cyber security Data science Applied Mathematics Statistics
Experience working in fast paced ecommerce organizations.
Experience working within fraud compliance law enforcement or intelligence organizations.
Experience in adjacent domain areas like network engineering Infosec software development for ecommerce or work involving software for APIs or web sing.
Experience working with Threat Intelligence teams threat modeling and familiarity with opensource intelligence (OSINT).
Experience with AWS cloud solutions.
Experience in Data Sciences Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
CISSP Certification or experience in multiple CISSP knowledge areas
Demonstrated experience in areas such as digital forensics or internal investigations.
Language proficiency welcomed (Mandarin Russian Japanese or Spanish).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $196300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
